K-12 learn to swim

ASL offers a varied program of water activities for students of all abilities in the School’s 25-meter swimming pool at the Aquatic & Fitness Center. From building water confidence for beginners to preparation for competition for advanced swimmers, the K-12 pool program has something for everyone.

The programs on this page are for current ASL Families. If you are not part of the ASL community, please see our Non-ASL swimming webpage.

The booking portal opens on Monday, 24 August 2026, at 4 pm for the fall season swim program.

Children develop at their own pace, and our experienced coaches and swim teachers work to address each child's needs, enabling them to progress and perfect new skills.

The aquatics program is separate from the school's after-school programs. For more details on after-school and Athletics programs, please use the links below:

Lower school children

  • Swimming lessons, beginner swim training-bronze

All children in the lower school need to be collected by a responsible adult at school dismissal time. This adult would then need to provide supervision. If your child is 9 or older, they do not need to be supervised whilst attending the session, but do need to be dropped off and collected from the pool by a responsible adult.

  • AquaFun

All children will be collected and dismissed in the same way as Lower School ASP's. An adult is not required for these sessions. We will collect from school dismissal and bring them down to the activity, and then return them to the lower school for collection. Busing will not be optional.
