In preparation for taking the reins of ASL in July 2017, incoming Head of School Robin Appleby spent time on campus, 30 March–4 April. In a packed schedule, Mrs. Appleby met with seventh Head of School Coreen R. Hester, students, teachers, trustees and administrators, and attended a number of ASL events. Mrs. Appleby moves to London in July to take up her new role at our school, accompanied by husband John and daughter Eden ’24.

Summing up her visit to ASL, Mrs. Appleby commented, "I have received a tremendous welcome during my time at the School, and these few days at One Waverley Place have felt incredibly positive. In addition, I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the transition process, which has been fantastic. I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Coreen and the Board of Trustees in preparing for my arrival at ASL in July. I'm really looking forward to settling in to ASL—visiting classrooms and getting to know teachers and students."
