The prizes have been collected, the balloons popped, the entertainment finished, the bunting packed away, the goodies eaten and the memories stored to last a lifetime—the 2017 PCA auction is officially over!

On Friday, 17 March, the Farmer Family Gymnasium was abuzz with excitement as parents, students, faculty, staff and alumni took turns to pop balloons to win prizes, enter raffles, tuck into delicious treats, and enjoy performances and entertainment.

Lower school students also took part in a One of a Kind talent show on Friday, 10 March, showcasing what made them unique. Performances included dancing, singing, music, magic tricks and gymnastics!

The week of celebrations culminated with a gala at the historic Guildhall, where the exciting silent, super silent and live auctions took place.

These events are the PCA’s primary fundraiser to support its programs and projects for a two-year period. Proceeds from the One of a Kind auction will also support next-generation learning, including building an eco classroom at Canons Park and funding high-tech equipment for our science classrooms and the MILL.

Auction chair Laura Angelidis P ’27 commented, "The great success of the 2017 PCA auction has been the result of the courage, enthusiasm, dedication and passion of the entire ASL community. We couldn’t have done it without all the incredible support we received from everyone—the tireless volunteers, the generous donors and the enthusiastic participants. ASL is truly One of a Kind!”

The auction gala saw the premiere of a One of a Kind video, to launch The Coreen R. Hester Fund for Excellence in Teaching. Watch the video and learn more about making a donation.
