Message from the Annual Fund chairs

Irene Zia and Larry Small P ’29
2018-19 Annual Fund Chairs

Since the very first time we visited ASL, we have been filled with both awe and gratitude: at the caliber and dedication of faculty and staff; at the amazing learning opportunities available to students inside and outside the classroom; and at the commitment, optimism, and thoughtfulness with which our children develop into responsible and self-confident individuals, full of continued enthusiasm for learning and boldly engaged with the wider world.

Many of these aspects that contribute to the excellence of ASL are made possible by Annual Fund donations. We had the pleasure of serving as 2018-19 Annual Fund chairs and once again our experience was awe-inspiring, and our sincere gratitude goes to members of our community for their kindness and graciousness. Thanks to the unwavering efforts of an amazing team of volunteers and to the deep generosity of parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, we were able to exceed our target and achieve a record £1,867,300 in donations. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for all the many ways in which you supported the Annual Fund. Your selfless sharing of your time, talent and treasure demonstrates your belief in an ASL education and makes a real difference to each and every one of our children.

We look forward to this new academic year, guided by the new mission statement and informed by inclusivity, sure that once again it will not fail to be awesome.

With gratitude,

Larry and Irene
