High School student visitors

In the High School, parents or students must request permission for a student visitor by completing this form at least one week in advance of any proposed visit. Visitors are discouraged from coming the week before Winter or Spring breaks, or anytime in June. Guests may not visit for more than one day, and in certain circumstances a partial day may be more appropriate.

Student visitors must bring photo ID with them, sign in and out at the attendance office in the High School (O346), and follow their host's schedule for the day. Host students must check get permission from their teachers in advance to bring a guest to class. In some cases, a particular class may not be open to visitors, and the visitor may be asked to wait in the Mellon Library or attend a class with another host student if arranged beforehand. High school visitors staying during lunch hours may bring a packed lunch, purchase lunch on their host's ID card, or eat lunch off-campus if their host has open campus. All visitors are expected to abide by the School's expectations of student behavior.

Prospective students wishing to visit the School without a host may arrange a visit through the admissions office. ASL alumni who want to visit ASL without a host must communicate directly with the director of alumni relations at alumni@asl.org, who will greet them at Waverley Place Reception upon their arrival.
