What’s your connection to ASL?

I'm in my sixth year at ASL and have always worked in the HR department. I am currently the HR Manager.

How do you reconnect with long-distance friends or family?

Last year, there were a lot of virtual card games and Zoom quizzing—we had to be creative. I actually managed to run a quiz with all my old uni friends on the same Zoom. That was the first time we had all been together since we graduated. These days, I mainly rely on Whatsapp threads between different small groups of friends.

How do you stay connected to your...

Community? I'm the secretary of my building's residents' association, and I make an effort to take part in local events in my local park.

Colleagues? Many of my colleagues are now some of my best friends. I serve as the token 'Brit' and can drive in the UK, so I get invited to weekend getaways a lot. :)

Joy? A quirky pub with a nice beer garden. Or tending to my plants that live on my balcony.

Well-being? Definitely spending time on my balcony listening to music and watching the flow of people go by.
