Robyn Swanson ’95 and Josh Drobnyk ’94

Robyn and Josh attended prom together in 1993

How did you meet? I met Robyn at orientation in 1992. She was a new sophomore and I was part of the welcoming team of students. I was immediately smitten.

What was your first impression of Robyn? She just seemed like a good soul. I could tell the moment I saw her.

What was your first date? We went to a pizza restaurant near South Kensington tube station.

How would your friends and teachers describe your relationship in high school? They would agree we were really taken with each other, me especially.

What is your favorite memory from your time together at ASL? Going to prom in 1993. We rode in a white Lincoln stretch limo that Ammar Aql ’94 claimed was once rented by MC Hammer. 

What is your favorite thing about Robyn? She is the kindest, sweetest person that I know.

Describe your life today. We live in Washington, DC.
