What’s your connection to ASL?
This is my family's sixth year at ASL. My girls are currently in senior and freshman year in high school. I've been active at school since they started and am now the president of the Parent Community Association.
How do you reconnect with long-distance friends or family?
Mostly through social media. I have WhatsApps with most of my friends, and I love seeing pictures of what people are up to on Facebook. It makes me feel like we're close in spirit even if not in person.
How do you stay connected to your...
Community and colleagues? My community and colleagues are essentially the same, as the people I work with on the PCA Executive Board are also part of our ASL community. Now that we are allowed back on campus, I love the daily small interactions that make up everyday life around school.
Joy? I relax through my various craft and artistic projects. I love it when I get immersed in creating something and the work just flows.
Well-being? Playing tennis is my favorite form of exercise, and our new puppy needs a lot of walking. Taking him to Regent’s Park and watching him chase the ball is as close as I get to meditating.
