Knowledge is power at the ASL Robotics Open House

Knowledge is power at the ASL Robotics Open House

ASL’s robotics program is absolutely booming, and yesterday saw them in action at our Robotics Open House. Read on to learn more about the student-led exhibitions and workshops that blew our ASL community away!

Robotics Program Director Muktar Ali opened things up and allowed our middle and high school students to take it away via hands-on demonstrations and presentations. With over a hundred RSVPs, the MILL and science wing was the place to be in order to discover exactly what our robotics teams had been up to.

In addition to exhibitions of robots built by our students and demonstrations of the tech, a showcase of student-led  fundraising and outreach was also presented –  illustrating how our teams provide robotics opportunities for less advantaged schools in our community.

Collaboration and creativity are key when it comes to competing in robotics, and our teams will be jetting off this spring to Costa Mesa, California to fight for the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics competition. We have no doubt they will smash it and have another title under their belt!

Take a look below for some great snaps of the evening.
