I am a student going into Grade 6. 

How do you reconnect with long-distance friends or family?

Last year, I occasionally got to use my mum’s old phone and exchanged numbers with friends and family.

How do you stay connected to your...

Community? I attend a local Taekwondo club. I go one to three times a week and can ask my teacher for help anytime.

Classmates? Lots of them are in a big group chat on messages, and we text about what we are doing during the summer holidays. It’s loads of fun!

Joy? I love singing, reading and Taekwondo. I try to make time for all of them every day, in bed, outside or even with friends.

Well-being? As well as weekly Taekwondo, I go on walks with my mum, my friend and her mum. Sometimes we go to town and get a treat, but then we burn it all off going around the shops on our scooters.
