Eagle parents come “ho ho ho-me” to ASL for the holidays
On Wednesday, 13 December, nearly 50 parents of alumni helped celebrate the season at Bruce House during the annual parents of alumni holiday social. Hosted for the first time by Head of School Matt Horvat and his wife, Susan Fine, this festive gathering brought together parents whose children graduated between 1997 and 2023! Advancement staff heard updates about Eagles in their first year at university, Eagle engagements and upcoming weddings—and even baby Eaglets! In turn, Mr. Horvat shared highlights from the school year. “It was such a fun event,” reflected Erin Roth P ’15 ’16 ’21. “I loved seeing old friends and making new ones too.” Former teacher and alumni parent Michele Elliot P ’96 ’00 expressed similar sentiment. “We had a wonderful time at the party last night,” she wrote. “My husband, Ed Elliot (ASL 1972-2009), instantly knew students he taught more than 15 years ago.” Thank you, PoAs! You raised extraordinary Eagles and continue to uplift our ASL community with your stories and involvement. Just like your children, you will always have a home at One Waverley Place. And a special thanks to our event hosts, Stacey Towfighi P ’18 ’20 ’23 and Robin and Rich Landsberger P ’03 ’05 ’08!
