What’s your connection to ASL?

I am in my sixth year working at ASL and am currently the co-head of the performing arts department. My husband works at school as the School Center manager and our two children are in the Middle School, Grades 5 and 7.

How do you reconnect with long-distance friends or family?

LOTS of Zoom calls and emails back and forth!

How do you stay connected to your...

Community? We got to know our local community during the lockdowns and explored all the beautiful parks nearby.

Colleagues? My team and I Zoomed regularly and had an active WhatsApp chat throughout the year and the summer.

Joy? The little things…reconnecting with old friends on impromptu online meet-ups. Spending time at summer camp this summer with my girls—watching them shine!

Well-being? I am on an over 500+ daily yoga streak. Yes to the DownDog app! I also have learned to embrace meditation and have found that to be grounding and empowering.
