Alicia & Steve
Alicia Ferro ’00 and Steve Kelly ’00
How did you meet? In the high school locker area.
What was your first impression of Steve? I thought he was cute!
What was your first date? We had dinner at a place called Down Mexico Way near Piccadilly Circus.
How would your ASL teachers and friends describe your relationship in high school? Short-lived! Today they would say we are fun. We only dated for a few months in our junior year, but we stayed connected through the ASL community which ultimately brought us back together after college.
What is your favorite shared ASL memory? On our second date, we planned to go to the fall semi-formal dance. We had dinner at a restaurant called Il Portico on High Street Kensington and had so much fun we didn’t end up arriving at the dance until the last song was playing.
What is your favorite thing about Steve? His sense of humor.
Describe your life today. We are temporarily living in Quogue, NY, and are planning to move to Garden City, NY, this summer.
Where do you see yourselves in 10 years? Still together.
