The ASL Five-Year Strategic Plan sets a framework to strengthen the School’s identity, advance academics, and enhance student well-being. A five-year horizon ensures the plan is ambitious yet practical, allowing ASL to remain agile, resilient, a first choice for families, and a place where every student thrives.
Over the past year, ASL’s Board of Trustees has led a strategic planning process to shape our School’s future. Working closely with senior leaders, and informed by focus groups, surveys, and past planning work, we have created a shared vision for the next five years.

Our vision rests on three pillars:
- Institutional Identity – being clear about who we are and ensuring that every part of school life reflects it.
- Educational Enhancement & Innovation – ensuring our program is rigorous, relevant, and prepares students to thrive in a fast-changing world.
- Financial Stewardship – securing the resources to keep ASL strong and sustainable for generations to come.
These pillars build on ASL’s existing strengths—a welcoming school culture, exceptional teachers, and strong family engagement—and set out a path to a strong and resilient ASL for generations to come.
Looking ahead
Staying true to our shared strength: a school where we nurture each student to their unique future as global citizens, this plan is our roadmap for the next five years—to guide decisions, focus resources, and strengthen everything that makes ASL, well, ASL.
