Ofsted report 2021

The School submitted an action plan to Ofsted on 8 April 2022, addressing the unmet standards and how we plan to remedy them. Since then, we have accomplished several of our identified goals including, but not limited to: completing the first round of the K-12 social studies review with plans to embed new standards of historical knowledge and skills into the program; ensuring that our expectations and resources emphasize the knowledge and skills expected of a top-flight literature and writing program in our English/language arts program; revising our ASL Teaching Standards to include the required political impartiality in the classroom; and creating and delivering training on political impartiality to the full faculty and staff. On 8 June, we received additional guidance from Ofsted and the Department for Education (DfE) to strengthen our plan. We are confident that this recent guidance, an important part of this iterative process, will allow us to complete the action plan successfully. Our curricular and programmatic changes, begun this spring, will be even more visible in the student experience in the fall.
