Summer Program 2013

Established for more than 24 years, the ASL Summer Program blends an exciting mix of outdoor and indoor activities for children age 4-16. We provide a unique opportunity for children to learn valuable skills and make new friends through programs that are challenging, educational and fun. Based at our Waverley Place campus, our playing fields at Canons Park, and making use of our partnership with the Bushcraft company, students discover new interests, build self-confidence and learn how to work as a group.

Sporting and outdoors

Our Sports Camp at Canons Park allows participants to improve their individual and team sports skills. The Elementary Sports Camp, also at Canons Park, introduces organized activities to our younger campers at a less intensive level than the Sports Camp. The one-week Basketball Camp takes place in the ASL gyms and is very popular with students throughout the School. These programs are open to ASL and non-ASL participants and have maximum group sizes.

Recreation Camp runs during the second part of the summer for four weeks. Based at Canons Park, the program involves a wide range of activities and games, including tennis, soccer, softball and volleyball, and is a favorite of many long-time attendees. Open to ASL and non-ASL participants.

Bushcraft

Our  Bushcraft program introduces students to a week of outdoor learning experiences, culminating in a three-day, two-night camping experience in an ancient forest in Oxfordshire. Open to ASL students only.

Indoors

Our well established KinderCamp program runs for five weeks of the program.  Our Exploration Week provides students with the opportunity to select from a range of morning and afternoon activities: Spanish, cooking school, drama, robotics and ceramics . A special day-long Discovery Camp program is also available for students in Grade 1.
