Life in London
“…when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
Samuel Johnson
The American School in London is a non-profit, independent, Kindergarten through Grade 12 school offering an American curriculum in an international setting. Our student body of more than 1,300 represents in excess of 45 nationalities with 30-plus languages spoken at home in addition to English. The School's location in central London further enhances the educational experience and provides numerous cultural and leisure opportunities for teachers.
From restaurants and musical events to museums and the theater, there's always something to do and see. One of the world's most exciting cities, London offers a variety of activities and experiences for all ages. ASL is located in St. John's Wood, only minutes from central London and its many attractions.
The majority of ASL faculty lives close to the School. London is also a great ‘jumping-off point’ for keen travelers and many European capitals are just a short flight away.
