A commitment to caring and lifelong learning

We look for faculty members who are dedicated to caring, passionate about their subject and excited by the prospect of working within a dynamic, diverse community.

Open-minded and curious, our teachers make discoveries between subjects, forming connections across disciplines. Classroom practices emphasize active, collaborative learning. Team-building activities, sabbaticals, conferences and lectures by leading educators are among the initiatives we employ to develop our faculty’s teaching skills.

We have a permanent endowment to help us attract and retain an outstanding faculty. Professional development is an ongoing priority, as we strongly believe that a school flourishes when its teachers are themselves committed to lifelong learning. Currently, 77 percent of our faculty has a master’s degree or higher.

In short, our professional standards and expectations are high, and the supports in place are substantial. Living in London is an added and exceptional bonus.

Jude Griffiths
LS Grade 2 Teacher/Team Leader

"The art and science of teaching is continually evolving. It's important--to me, to my students, to the long-term vibrancy of this academic community--to keep up to date on new approaches and practices.  ASL is completely behind me, providing me with the resources and encouragement to stay at the forefront of my profession."
