Opening celebrations
ASL celebrated the official opening of the School Center for Education and the Arts with a series of ribbon-cutting events in March 2008: a performance of the HS musical 'West Side Story,' the AMIS International Honor Band and Choir Concert, Middle East Night, the European premiere of 'Horton Hears a Who!' and talks by the Honorable Al Gore, Kevin Spacey and poet Ralph Sneeden. Construction on the School Center, funded by the Great Expectations capital campaign, began in June 2006 and was completed in December 2007.
This slideshow features photographs by CurrentRutledge, FisherHart, Cynthia Larson Richard, parents, staff and students, along with artwork by High School students. The accompanying music is from the AMIS International Honor Band and Choir Concert.
